September 9th, Bryce Canyon National Park

Today we hiked the 8 mile Fairyland Canyon loop. I'd never walked this far before but I'm happy to say I did just fine -- with the exception of not particularly wanting to walk much afterwards! This is really a beautiful hike through the hoodoos, and it's not nearly as much of a heavy-use trail as some of the more "famous" trails are. As the brochure says, Fairyland boasts formations which rival anything else in the park.

We didn't start from the Fairyland Scenic point -- instead we found an access path from our campsite onto the West Rim Trail, which is part of the loop. We started there and headed towards Fairyland Scenic point.
